What do I offer?

Whether you’re just starting your training or simply want to keep your horse in good condition, the best starting point is to work with your horse from the ground. It’s also the most effective way to build a deeper, more positive partnership — one based on trust and respect, rather than power and submission.

The main methods I use are liberty work, groundwork, and double long lines, as taught by the Freestyle Academy. I prefer these techniques because they are the least stressful training methods for the horse.

The sessions I offer last one hour and include a grounding exercise at the beginning and a relaxation routine at the end. I include these exercises before and after the technical work because they provide real benefit — for both horse and human — in terms of the connection you build together. Working with horses is not just about mechanically applying techniques. Equally important is your own state of being in relation to the horse. The deeper the connection you build, the more insight you’ll gain — and with that, the quality of your learning experience increases.

You will learn:

• how to use natural aids (body, voice, energy/intention) and artificial aids (lead rope) in a wise and effective way, and how to read and understand the horse’s behaviour

• how to lead your horse, send it out onto the circle, ask for transitions, and stop it through disengagement or on the circle

• double long lining on the circle (working on the horse’s vertical balance) and rider position (horizontal balance) as preparation for riding

I teach at all levels. Teenagers are very welcome too. Lessons are tailored to your needs and those of your horse.

CONSCIOUS CONNECTION – RELATIONAL SESSIONS FOR HORSE AND HUMAN

These sessions are intended to support horses with behavioural challenges, but also for people who want to explore and deepen their relationship with their horse — through presence, patience, and awareness.

My approach is based on my certification as a Teacher of Presence through Eckhart Tolle’s School of Awakening, my ongoing study in equine-led healing, mindfulness-based horsemanship, and my training in Animal Communication with James French, founder of the Trust Technique®. While I am currently in the final year of training to become a Trust Technique® practitioner, I do not offer this method by name or as a technique. However, the emphasis on calm observation, presence, and deep listening closely aligns with my broader approach to conscious connection with horses.

Much of the behaviour we label as “problems” — such as fear, tension, or resistance — stems from stress and a lack of connection. When we meet the horse without pressure, in a shared field of calm, true transformation can begin.

These sessions are gentle, non-invasive, and highly effective for:

• Building trust and relaxation

• Supporting sensitive or reactive horses

• Deepening the relationship through shared presence

• Helping both horse and human regulate stress

Each session is unique, tailored to the needs of the horse-human pair, shaped by the moment, and centred on the relationship. Come as you are — with an open heart and trust in the process.
